Bilingual Education Center

To effectively execute the BEST program by the Ministry of Education, in 2022 National Central University established the Bilingual Education Center (NCUBEC). Directed by Executive Vice President Dr. Shang-Yao Yan, NCUBEC is devoted to integrating the administrative support and teaching resources school-wide. With the goal of promoting English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) at NCU, our Center has been collaborating closely with the Key Cultivation Colleges in the BEST program in developing full training courses for EMI instructors, and enhancing students’ language proficiency skills. NCUBEC strives to create a bilingual immersion environment, concentrating on further fostering students’ abilities in autonomous learning and strengthening their global competitiveness, so as to meet the mission of the Bilingual 2030 Policy.
